A brand new year, a brand new start. Its almost unbelievable but its already 2013, hitting 19 this year and it feels like i just graduated from my secondary school a year ago. I'm already completing my second year in poly in a month's time and I'm definitely not looking forward to my year 3 and get all ready to face the society.. What are your resolutions for 2013? Well my wish for this year is to be a better person, to get my driving license before internship, and probably celebrate my birthday with someone special this year? HAHA wishful thinking. oh well... To add on a piece of good news, its the best christmas gift besides the ukulele i received from my secret santa.. SIA actually gave polytechnic students a chance to join their company for internship for the very first time! But of course, after your internship you have to continue to work with them for a couple of years before you can quit. Opportunities went to the Nanyang Polytechnic students as well as for the Republic Polytechnic School of Hospitality students. So as a student from the hospitality school, many of us including me gave it a shot and went to try on for the interview taken place on the last week of December 2013. Most of us were girls because guys have to complete their NS first to be able to join them. There were a total of 4 rounds of interview and i thought i screwed the 2nd round of interview but miraculously i went on to the next 2 rounds and managed to get in! I was appalled, and honestly i didn't expect myself to get in. This is a life changing decision for me and yes everyone was really supportive and encouraging! Thank you all! That was a great way to end my 2012 and coming to 2013, i really hope this year will be a better one for me.

School resumed not long after the new years and yes i really had a hard time adjusting my body clock back to normal because of all the xmas and new year parties, i got used to sleeping after 5am during then holidays which was really unhealthy! So thank god i had a field trip to QianHu Fish Farm on the first day of school, it didn't really bore me as much as the usual procedure in class.

Headed over to my best friend's place for dinner the day after school. I can't explain how much i love her mom's cooking! Sadly, my best friend doesn't know how to appreciate her mom's cooking because she's on diet..

Then on friday i met my favourite girl to bake some oreo cheesecake for my best friend's 19th which falls on the 6th of Jan! First time baking cheesecake but with char's guidance, i really thought it was rather simple! I will do a post about it individually if i'm baking it again! I would really really love to share this recipe with everyone!

Well on the actual day we had steamboat over at my best friend's place! Didn't take any photos because i was too busy making sushis for everyone! Which.. really didn't tasted as good as before sigh. Sam was definitely surprised with the cake that charlene and i baked specially for her! HAPPY 19TH ONCE AGAIN SAMANTHA! Words can't describe how much you mean to me.

Coincidentally 6th of january was also my nephew Kayden's 1st birthday! Had a celebration over at Kovan residence on sunday haha i'm so jealous already because he's only 1 and so many people turned up!
